This is a regular series of discussions between experts and government officials, featuring foreign researchers and policy experts as guest speakers. The forum serves as a platform to share insights on policymaking and international challenges, fostering constructive dialogue and developing concrete policy recommendations. The sessions are held behind closed doors with participants including senior government officials. The topics cover a wide range of issues, including national security, economic policy, and international relations, addressing challenges that face both Japan and the global community. KCS Strategic Foresight

KCS Strategic Foresight, inaugurated in 2024, is an annual event at the start of the year that looks ahead to the year’s international environment. Drawing on the expertise of KCS-affiliated staff, specializing in each part of the world, we bring together analyses of each country’s internal politics and diplomacy. This enables us to predict global changes, potential risks for Japan, and to develop nuanced perspectives on international trends. Today, as businesses are directly influenced by the international environment, the forecasts of KCS Strategic Foresight are critical for risk evaluation and strategic planning.
