Prof. Miyaoka studied for his undergraduate degree at Keio University, before earning an MA in Politics from New Zealand’s Canterbury University in 1994, followed by a DPhil in Political Science from the University of Oxford in 1999. He served as an assistant, then as associate professor at Osaka University of Foreign Studies and Osaka University’s Graduate School of International Public Policy. He lectured first as an associate professor and then as a professor at Keio University.
