Prof. Nishino studied for his undergraduate degree at Keio University, where he achieved his master’s and doctoral degrees. He gained his PhD in Political Science at Yonsei University in 2005. Between 2002 and 2004, he also worked in the Japanese Embassy to the Republic of Korea as a political specialist, and between 2006 and 2007, as an expert analyst at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Intelligence and Analysis Service. He served as a visiting researcher at the Harvard-Yenching Institute, a Japan scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center, and as a visiting researcher at George Washington University’s Sigur Center.
