[Event Report] The 8th Keio Strategic Forum “Economic Security and Science, Technology, and Innovation: Overview of the Research Report Commissioned by the Cabinet Office”

On April 8, 2024, the Center hosted the 8th Keio Strategy Forum under the theme, “Economic Security and Science, Technology, and Innovation: Overview of the Research Report Commissioned by the Cabinet Office.”

The session began with a presentation by Director Yuichi Hosoya, Deputy Director Michito Tsuruoka, and other contributing authors, of the report compiled by KCS titled, “Project for Developing Think Tank Functions Related to Safety and Security.” 
The report analyzes the advancement of economic security and development of critical technologies through the lens of international collaboration, a perspective that has often been overlooked, and primarily focuses on such policies in Australia and the United States.

In the subsequent discussion, participants exchanged a wide range of views on the current realities and challenges facing various countries and corporations in the realm of international cooperation.
