[Event Report] Special Public Symposium “A New Era for the Japan-UK Strategic Partnership: How Can It Be Strengthened?”

On September 25, 2024, the Center co-hosted a special public symposium, “A New Era for the Japan-UK Strategic Partnership: How Can It Be Strengthened?” in collaboration with the Centre for Geopolitics (CfG) at the University of Cambridge.

We welcomed an esteemed panel featuring H.E. Julia Longbottom (British Ambassador to Japan), Professor Brendan Simms (University of Cambridge), Associate Professor John Nilsson-Wright (University of Cambridge), and Mr. Koji Tsuruoka (Former Japanese Ambassador to the United Kingdom). The panelists engaged in a comprehensive discussion exploring the challenges and opportunities of bilateral cooperation from the perspectives of both nations.
