[Activity Report] Courtesy Visit to State Minister of Defense Makoto Oniki

On Thursday, September 26, Yuichi Hosoya (Director of KCS), along with Satoshi Ikeuchi (Representative of ROLES, RCAST, University of Tokyo), Brendan Simms (Professor, University of Cambridge / Director, Centre for Geopolitics), John Nilsson-Wright (Associate Professor, University of Cambridge), Francis Gavin (Professor, Johns Hopkins University), and Mizuki Yamamoto (Project Assistant Professor, KCS), paid a courtesy visit to State Minister of Defense Makoto Oniki.
State Minister of Defense Oniki pointed out the importance of Europe accurately understanding the security environment in Asia, and shared his experiences of being involved in crucial phases of Japan's defense over the past four years with the researchers from Europe and the United States.
