[Event Report] The 12th Keio Strategic Forum “Great Power Competition Between the U.S. and China in Space: A Focus on the Military Aspect” / “How China Perceives the Opportunities and Risks of AI: A Focus on the Military Aspect”

On October 21, 2024, the Center hosted the 12th Keio Strategy Forum. We welcomed two guest speakers from the National Institute for Defense Studies (NIDS): Mr. Yasuhito Fukushima, Senior Research Fellow in the Global Security Division of the Policy Studies Department, and Mr. Masaaki Yatsuzuka, Senior Research Fellow in the China Division of the Regional Studies Department.

Mr. Fukushima delivered a lecture on “Great Power Competition Between the U.S. and China in Space: A Focus on the Military Aspect,” and Mr. Yatsuzuka presented on the theme “How China Perceives the Opportunities and Risks of AI: A Focus on the Military Aspect.”
